After toying with various renditions of this highly popular imaging target, I decided to see what was behind the artistic door.

By a simple mathematical model, the RGB data allowed stripping the continuum-radiation component from the HSO images, and those corrected narrowband components were used to create this image. The HSO were mapped to their respective RGB contributions, and the resulting image was photometrically calibrated. In the resulting image, the stars were isolated from the nebula, and nebula's the hue, saturation, sharpness, etc., were adjusted separately.

BTW, it kind of looks like a fish to me, with lips that appeared on Jimmy Kimmel's show a few days ago. Or, maybe those lips introduce the Rocky Horror Picture Show?!
